Teen Read Week - Yoga Get Away

Teens and Tweens join us for a Teen Read Week event and participate in a beginner yoga session to unwind from the day. Afterwards learn how the services the library provides can help you read just for the fun of it! The session begins Wednesday, October 21 at 4:00 pm.

Teen Art Fusion Special Hispanic Heritage Edition

Hey teens and tweens, join us for a special edition of Art Fusion  Wednesday, October 7 at 4:00 pm.This month in celebration of Hispanic Heritage explore a table exhibiting photos and information about various Hispanic artists and how they incorporate culture into their work. We'll also have our regular studio materials available including: painting, watercolor & drawing. All materials provided, you are welcome to bring your own supplies. Ages 10-17.

Gulf Coast Reads Program This Saturday, October 10

Book Jacket for The Promise by Ann WeisgarberThe selection for this year’s Gulf Coast Reads is The Promise by Ann Weisgarber, a compelling historical fiction title set in Galveston immediately before, during, and after the Great Storm of 1900.

Please joins us this Saturday, October 10, for the Gulf Coast Reads program: ‘The Effects of the 1900 Great Storm on Galveston Churches and St. Mary’s Orphanage.’ The Presenter of the program will be Lisa May, Archivist for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
