Take the Digital Bookmobile Tour and Register to Win

Learn how to Take a Tour and Register to Windownload from the library and you can register for free prizes on Wednesday, January 27th  from 12 noon till 6pm. That’s the day the Digital Bookmobile stops by the Maud Marks Branch on its nationwide tour. You can take a tour and learn how to download  our books, audios, music and films from your home using your computer and Internet connection.

The Friends of the Maud Marks Library are having a book sale at the library this Saturday, January 16 from 10 am to 5 pm. If you’re a member of the Friends or join before Friday you can also attend a special preview sale on Friday, January 15 from 6 pm to 8 pm!   Don’t forget, nothing costs over $1!!


Harris County Libraries Serve as Warming Centers

Residents seeking shelter from the frigid temperatures can head to their local library.  All 25 Harris County branch libraries will open at 9 am on Friday, January 8 and Saturday, January 9 to serve as warming centers for the public. 

Closing hours will vary depending on the branch.

It's Back . . .

Teen Time is back at the Maud Marks Branch Library! You can join us after school from 2:45 to 4pm for crafts on Mondays, computer classes on Tuesdays, a surprise activity on Wednesdays, movies on Thursdays, and games on Fridays. If you haven’t registered yet just fill out a short form when you come to your first session. See you there!

Give that Mouse Hand a Workout!

Is there a new computer in your horizon? Prepare for it at your local library. We are proud to announce a new beginning computer class series. We begin our series next Tuesday, January 4 at 7 PM as we exercise our mouse hand with mouserobics. Learn proper point, click, and drag techniques.

Many of our computer classes fill up quick so register today to join us for this class.
