How do you work this thing?!?

Did you have a new laptop or computer, but are not sure how to use it? That’s ok, come by the Maud Marks Library on October 31 at 10:00 AM. We will be offering a Computer 101 class this Tuesday in the computer lab. In this class, you will discover what a computer does, learn the basic terminology, and how to start a computer. This class will help you become familiar with Windows operating system and show you how to use the mouse. The class is designed for new computer users. Become a computer whiz in no time!

Estate Planning

Do you have a will? The Maud Marks Library welcomes Mr. Archer, an estate lawyer who can help answer your questions on probate and estate planning. What is an eBook?

Tired of carrying those heavy library books from place to place? Do you wish that you could just check out books from the convenience of your own home? Well, you are in luck! The Maud Marks Library will be offering an eBooks class this Saturday, October 14 at 1:00 PM in the computer lab. In this class you will learn what an eBook is and the services the Harris County Public Library offers for them.

Please bring your mobile device and we'll show how to find and download eBooks and/or audio books. Please bring your library card. If you don't have a device you can practice on ours. So come on by this Tuesday to the Maud Marks Library, and become an eBook reader!

Writers' Workshop Series

Calling all writeres!  This Monday, October 9 at 6:30 PM, we are please partner with the Houston Writers Guild and the Katherine Tyra at Bear Creek Library to host the first in a series of writers' workshops for anyone interested in writing.  Come to the library and listen to experienced writers, improve your work, and get valuable feedback.  New topics are covered at each event.  Registration is required for these events.  You may sign up by clicking here.

S.C.O.R.E. Accounting

 Do you own a small business and need some accounting advice?  S.C.O.R.E., a volunteer group that offers business counseling to small business owners, will be at the library Saturday, October 14, at 2pm to discuss small business accounting.
