We Never REALLY Close

OK, so our physical site is going to be closed this week, Friday through Sunday for the holiday weekend.  Never fear though because our online branch is open 24/7!

Quilted Greeting Cards

It's already time to sign up for our July Adult DIY class!  Come in from the heat and join us to make a lovely and unique quilted greeting card.  I will have everything you need to make your card.  The class will be held Tuesday, July 14th at 2 pm. in the meeting room here at Maud Marks.  Space is limited so you will need to register here or call 281-492-8592.   Please try to be on time so you will be able to complete your card.  There is always a waiting list so please let us know right away if you will not be able to attend.  I'm looking forward to seeing you there!

Book Sale

Join us for the next book sale at the Maud Marks Library on Saturday, June 27, from 10 AM to 4 PM. The Friends of the Maud Marks Library have a large selection of hardback fiction and nonfiction, as well as children's books and paperbacks for rock bottom prices.

If you are interested in becoming a member of the Friends, you can join at the door! For more information, visit their website.

All proceeds from the book sale will benefit the library.

Thrilling Reads

So many books… so little time.  What if you could read 26 great thriller writers in the time it takes to read the average thriller?  Try FaceOff, a collection of tales that pit some very famous literary characters against each other.  Where else can Michael Connelly’s Harry Bosch join forces with Dennis LeHane’s Patrick Kenzie?  How about teaming John Lescroarts’s Wyatt Hunt with T. Jefferson Parker’s Joe Trona on a fishing vacation in Mexico?  How well  would Jeffery Deaver’s  quadriplegic detective Lincoln Rhyme work with John Sanford's sleuth Lucas Davenport
