Super Tuesday!

No, superheroes are not coming to the library, the election is!  Once again, the Maud Marks Library will be a polling place for this year's Texas Primary Election.  If you want to vote in the Republican Primary and your voting precinct is 619, you can vote at the Maud Marks Library.  If you want to vote in the Democrat Primary and your voting precinct is 5-9. 522, 619, or 644, you can vote at the Maud Marks Library.  To find out your voting precinct number and where you vote, visit the Harris Votes webpage.

Friends of the Library Sale

There will be all kinds of books, magazines, movies, and music for sale next Saturday, Feb. 27, 2016, at the Maud Marks Library from 10 am -4 pm. Students, you may find those books on your required reading list before the school year ends. Readers, you might find a long lost “friend”.  Collectors, are you missing one volume in a series? This could be your lucky day. Air-conditioned browsing and buying! Come one, come all. Join the “Friends of the Library”. All proceeds benefit YOU by funding the library’s programming. 

eBooks For Everyone!

Tired of carrying those heavy library books from place to place? Do you wish that you could just check out books from the convenience of your own home? Well, you are in luck! The Maud Marks Library will be offering an eBooks class this Tuesday, February 23 at 10:00 AM in the computer lab. In this class you will learn what an eBook is and the services the Harris County Public Library offers for them.

Spring Vegetables Gardening Class

Spring is just around the corner and it's time to start thinking about your garden-specifically your vegetable garden. What are you going to plant? What's the best to care for those seedlings? Well, this Saturday February 20 from 10 AM until 12 noon the Maud Marks Branch Library has got you covered. We will be hosting a Master Gardeners Green Thumb Gardening Class. At this class you'll be able to learn about spring vegetables. Seating is limited and registration is required.
