Celebrate Local Authors

Come meet published authors of adult, teen, and children's books on Sat., Dec 6, 2014.  Over 30 local authors will be here at the Maud Marks Library from 1-5 pm and they will hold readings throughout the library all afternoon. Are you looking for a book to give as a gift? Buy one of their books while you are here and get it autographed. Do you have questions about getting your own manuscript published? You can get information and be on your way to becoming a published author, too. For more information and a schedule for the day please call the library at 281-492-8592.

This is a Season for Giving...

This is one time of year that we can easily help those less fortunate. Here at the Maud Marks Library we have two opportunities to give to others. We have joined up again with the Channel 13 Share Your Holiday Food Drive and are accepting donations of nonperishable food items through Friday, Dec. 5. In addition, we have a bin for toy donations for the Toys for Tots Program. Bring in unwrapped new toys through Thurs., Dec. 18, and they will be given to children less fortunate. Thank you for your generous donations to help those in need. If you have any questions please contact us at 281-492-8592 or go to our website at www.hcpl.net for more information. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday.
