Landlord/Tenant Law Questions?

 The Katy Bar Association's People's Law School will have representatives here at the Maud Marks Library on Saturday, Nov. 11, at 10 am to cover the topic of landlord/tenant law.They will discuss rental applications, residential leases, evictions, and much more. Computer Questions? We Have the Answers.

 The Maud Marks Library is offering a new service on Fridays, from 1-3 PM in our computer lab.  Write down all your computer questions and bring them in. We will have someone here to help answer your questions. There is no need to register. The dates for the month of November are Fridays, November 3,10, and 17. 

Holiday Book Bash!

Treat yourself to a good book this holiday season!

At the Maud Marks Library we are big fans of writers, and it’s time to celebrate them! Our 4th annual Book Bash will be on Saturday, November 4, between 2-4:30 PM. Mix and mingle with award winning  authors where there will be two hours of storytime, crafts, author talks, and  prizes for those attending.  

Children’s authors will be reading  their books and doing crafts with the kids. Adults can attend one or more of our many authorpanels which/include, Doing Historical Research, Path to Publishing, Do You Have What It Takes? and Creating Villains. There will be additional prizes for teachers and other educators. 
Autographed copies of the author’s books will be available for purchase.

Check Out Our Sunset Storytime

Our Sunset Storytime returns on November 14th at 6:30 PM. Get those kids fed and ready for bed. Then bring the entire family out to our new bedtime storytime.  There's going to be stories, songs and rhymes for the whole family. Pajamas welcome and encouraged. Make sure to come visit us as our next Sunset Storytime won't be until December. Check out all of our events and activities on our calendar.

How do you work this thing?!?

Did you have a new laptop or computer, but are not sure how to use it? That’s ok, come by the Maud Marks Library on October 31 at 10:00 AM. We will be offering a Computer 101 class this Tuesday in the computer lab. In this class, you will discover what a computer does, learn the basic terminology, and how to start a computer. This class will help you become familiar with Windows operating system and show you how to use the mouse. The class is designed for new computer users. Become a computer whiz in no time!
