Stop Drowning Now!

Summer is right around the corner.  In Houston, this means, heat, air conditioning, shorts, and large bodies of water.  Unfortunately, those pools, lakes, rivers, and oceans come with the high risk of drowning.  This Tuesday, May 29, at 7 PM, national organization, Stop Drowning Now, will be here to talk about the dangers of children and the water.  Learn what you can do to keep your child safer this summer as we all use water to cool off from the heat of the season.

Insects in Your Garden?

Green Thumb Gardening will be at the Maud Marks Library on Saturday, May 19, 2018, at 10:30 am. The Master Gardeners of Harris County will be here discussing Insects in Your Garden, which will include the good insects and the bad insects. Spring is here and summer is approaching so our gardens are blooming and producing. Let's keep them healthy by learning how to care for them. Click on this link to Register for the class and join us for an educational and fun discussion. If you have a particular insect you're wondering about, bring it along. They can help you identify it as a "good" or "bad" insect for your garden.
