Friends of the Library Book Sale

There will be all kinds of books, magazines, movies, and music for sale this Saturday, June 28, 2014, at the Friends of the Maud Marks Library Book Sale. Students, are you looking for that book you are required to read before school starts? Get an early start. We might have it. Air-conditioned browsing and buying! Come one, come all, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. All proceeds benefit YOU by funding the library’s programming.

The Legend of King Arthur

Afternoon Adventures for school age children continues with a stage production of the Legend of King Arthur presented by the Hampstead Stage theatrical company. Show times are Monday, June 30 at 1:30 and 3 pm. Call the library for details.

Movie This Friday!

It's summer and we are in the midst of our summer film festival at Maud Marks.  Come out on Friday at 1:30 to enjoy a movie and popcorn.  Since we can't post the title of the movie, here's a clue for this week:  A web-slinging hero learns the secrets of his family's past.  Think you know what it is?  Come to the library on Friday to find out if you're right.

Texas Snakes

If your 6-11 year old is fascinated by snakes, then Maud Marks Library is the place to bring them next Monday, June 23. Programs start at 1:30  or 3 pm. Seating is limited, so come a half hour before program time to get your child's hand stamped and don't forget to sigh-up for the summer reading program. See you there!

Science on Stage

Can't find the time to take your school-age child to the museum? Let  us bring the museum to you. On Monday, June 16 at 1:30 and 3 pm the museum will present a program called Science on Stage. They'll explore physical science through exciting demonstrations. Each program is limited to the first 80 students. Call the library for details.
