Faux Dinner?

Calling all toddlers and Preschoolers!  Get a jump on Mama's thanksgiving dinner and come to Maud Marks Craft time.  We will be making thanksgiving dinner here.  Well, sort of! Everything will be "cooked" with paper and glue. Funny isn't it.  We will make a Turkey, corn on the cob, and even a pumpkin pie. Yum!!  Craft time is tomorrow, Wednesday, November 27th, 10:30 - 11:30 AM.  Come on in from the cold day and have fun with us.  See you tomorrow!

Storytimes for Thanksgiving Week

On Tuesday, November 26 there will only be one Toddler Time at 10:30 am. On Wednesday, November 27 there will be a craft geared for toddlers and preschoolers at 10 am- 11 am. Regular times resume next week.

Have a happy and safe holiday.

Change is in the air...

This is the time of year when lots of people look forward to the temperature changing. Maybe it’s time to implement a change yourself, like joining a book club.
Maud Marks Library has three regularly scheduled book clubs. The Evening Book Club meets on the first Monday of the month at 7 pm. On December 2, 2013, the group will be discussing The Kitchen House by Kathleen Grissom. The Afternoon Book Club meets on the second Thursday of the month at 1 pm. On Dec. 12, 2013, this group will be discussing an uplifting story from a book of the reader’s choice.
The Just Desserts Mystery Book Club meets on Wed., Dec. 18, 2013, at 2 pm.  They will be discussing Blue Christmas by Mary Kay Andrews.  Bring a dessert to share while you discuss whether the villains got their just desserts.
Call the library for specific details or access the information on the calendar which is on our website at www.hcpl.net.

You Click, We Click, One Click

We have more e-Audio books than you can find in just our Digital Media Catalog.  We also have our One Click Digital Database.  These books can be checked out online and downloaded to your computer or your device.  They are always available and can be renewed.  Best of all, if you don't renew them, they return themselves so there are never fines!  Sounds interesting?  Come to the library tomorrow night at 7 PM to learn how to use this really cool collection.  Seating is limited so click here to sign up.

Turkeys Beware!

This is just a reminder to all the wonderful people who come to Maud Marks Library, we will be closed Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 28th, 29th and 30th, in observance of Thanksgiving.  We will reopen Monday, December 2 @ 1 PM.  We wish everyone a wonderful holiday with family and friends.  Come "rolling in" next month after a sumptuous Thanksgiving dinner!
