Houston’s Theater District Open House is this Sunday, August 26 from noon - 4 pm! You can sample some of the many performances offered right here in Houston for free! There’s something for everyone, from STOMP to ballet, and the whole family is welcome. It’s also a great time to buy tickets for future performances because many are offered at a reduced price. Check out the website for complete details and a schedule. Houston has excellent performers and productions so don’t miss this great event!
Just a reminder that Maud Marks Library has blu-ray movies. You can search for tittles in our catalog by typing blu-ray as the keyword. Some of these tittles are Mirror, Mirror, Act of Valor, The Sound of Music , Toy Story 3, John Carter etc... You can request and pick up your favorite movies at any HCPL location near you. High schoolers are invited to volunteer at the library to get needed community service hours. New volunteers must attend orientation before volunteering. The orientation for August is Thursday, August 23 @ 2 pm. For more information call the library at 281-492-8592.
