Senior Moments: Reverse Mortgages

(c) 2011 http://www.caribbeanfreeradio.com/

Where are you going to get that money to retire?  Are you interested in how reverse mortgages works?  Are they right for you?  Maybe you should come by the library to find out.  This Tuesday at 1 PM, Betty Grable will be here to clear up all the confusion about reverse mortgages. Learn all what YOU need to know about reverse mortgages before you decide if it is right for you.  Seating for this and all programs is limited.   Click here to register for this and other programs at the Maud Marks Library.

Help Wanted!

We live in such a great community.  Katy gives to those in need with all their heart.  Our annual food drive is such a success and we always have plenty of volunteers to keep our library running.  Did you know there was even more you could do to make the Katy community an incredible place to live?

Right now, the Maud Marks Library needs ESL tutors.  We need people willing to teach adults English on a volunteer basis once a week for at least 9 months.  You don't need to be able to speak another language to teach ESL, in fact, we would prefer if you didn't!  All you need is a willingness to help new immigrants become acclimated with the American way of life.

We will be hosting a tutor training session on Saturday, March 19 at 9 AM.  There is no charge for the session or the training materials.  We'll even feed you lunch!

Springtime Craft

Kids, be sure to come to the Maud Marks Branch next Wednesday, March 9 at 4:30pm to make your own birdfeeder!  The hungry birds in your yard will thank you. This craft is for school-aged children.
