Seek and ye shall find...

Have you been looking for a book and not been able to find it in our HCPL catalog? Was it published at least 6 months ago? Maybe we can help you find it through our Interlibrary Loan system.  Books can be ordered from lending libraries from all over the country. Some lending libraries have books that are out of print and old editions that are hard to find. If this interests you click on the above link and read all about it. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to call us. We are ready to serve you.

New Year's Resolution: A Natural, Healthier You!

Are you ready to improve your mood and perhaps even your health?  Do it naturally with essential oils and aromatherapy.  Join us next Saturday, January 26 at 2 PM as we learn all about the health benefits of essential oils.  Whether it is to improve your mood or get over minor heath ailments, essential oils can help improve your life.  Seating for this and other programs is limited, so sign up today!  Click here to sign up for this class and see what else we have to offer at the library.

Want to Get Involved in the Community? Join the Friends of the Maud Marks Library!

The Friends of the Maud Marks Library are having their open meeting this Monday, January 15 at 9:30 am (don't worry, we’ll open the front door even though the library is closed).  Come and meet other community-minded folks and help with activities at the library!   For example, you might like to help set up for the Friends Book Sales.  Proceeds benefit the Library and are used to purchase materials and pay for programs like the annual Summer Reading Program.

We'll see you there!

Come One, Come All...

Is your New Year off to a good start? Did you get an e-reader for Christmas?  Have you been cleaning out the house and now you are trying to get rid of some books? If so, donate them to the library for the upcoming book sale being held this Saturday, January 12, 2013.

OR, if you still love how a book feels in your hands, come to the book sale and buy as many as you can carry. There has been a change in some of the pricing so don’t be surprised if things are a little more valuable than they used to be.  However, you will still find some great bargains. There are books, magazines, audiobooks, videos and DVD's. All proceeds go to help fund library activities and programs here at the Maud Marks Library. So, come one come all...Saturday, January 12, 2013, from 10:00 am – 4:00 pm.
