Maud Marks library is very grateful to the community for their generous response to our wish list. As soon as our giving tree was put up, nine ornaments with titles of books/audio books that Maud Marks wishes to add were bought. Our customers always find a way to support their library despite the slow economy and the extra spending in the holiday season. To date we have had 21 gift titles . We sincerely appreciate the giving spirit of our customers.
Maud Marks Library is still collecting toys for the Marine annual Toys for Tots drive. You have through Friday, December 17th to bring your new, unwrapped toy for our toybox located under the painting of Maud Smith Marks. Be a Secret Santa for a child in need in the Katy area. Every toy you bring in means another smile on a child's face on Christmas morning. Thank you, Katy, for being so supportive during the holiday season.
Come on down Friday, December 17 from 1pm-5pm as we celebrate the season with our Santa's Ranch Open House. Santa Cowboy will be here as well as pony rides, crafts, food and face painting. You know you'll have fun!

Thanks to your generous donations we collected more than 3,000 items and over $400! A special thanks also goes out to all of the volunteers who helped sort the donations and answered questions; pictured above are four volunteers who arrived before 7am!
As a Maud Marks patron I am happy to say that my computer skills have improved as I navigate through the databases. I have been able to make requests from Harris County libraries as well as InterLibrary Loan. I have been able to read many more of the Spanish language books I am interested in through this service.
Information for Persons with Disabilities: Harris County Public Library will make reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities who are interested in attending library programs. To make a request for yourself or someone you know, please notify the Branch Librarian two working days in advance of the program.
