Children's Games of the 1800's & the Pony Express!

Callin' all cowpokes, cowboys, and cowgals! Mosey on down to North Channel Library this Wednesday, February 24 at 4:30pm when we'll host the Houston Rodeo's special presentation of "Children's Games of the 1800's and the Pony Express"! The Speaker's Bureau will provide interactive games and a historical themed craft activity too. Gather 'round the Children's Area for this rip roarin' program if yer ages 4 and up...

This Weekend -- Faithful Paws

Reading with a FriendAre you ready for a visit from our favorite furry friends-Faithful Paws? Then stop by North Channel and see Faithful Paws this Saturday, February 20th from 2 pm to 3 pm.   Faithful Paws is an organization that brings dogs who love to hear kids read to them!  Help build reading confidence and cuddle a new pal at the same time!  

Early Voting begins February 16th

votingEarly Voting for the Democratic and Republican Party Primary Elections begin tomorrow at the North Channel Branch Library.  The Early Voting hours of operation are:

February 16th - February 19th: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm

February 20th: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

February 21st: 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm

February 22nd - February 26th: 7:00 am to 7:00 pm

If you are registered to vote in Harris County, you may vote at any Harris County Early Voting location.  More information about early voting may be found at the County Clerk voting website harrisvotes.com.

Free GED Distance Learning Program @ North Channel Library

Harris County Public Library is partnering with the Harris County Department of Education, Adult Education to present a free online distance learning program for area residents who want to earn their GED. Distance education programs allow you to learn at your own pace and to work on any computer with an internet connection. The North Channel Branch Library will host Registration and Orientation for the program on the following days:

February 15th
February 29th
March 21st
April 4th
April 18th
