Early Voting at North Channel Library

votingIt's time for early voting!  Once again, North Channel Library is serving as an Early Voting location.  If you chose to wait until Election Day to vote, you will need to go to your Precinct Polling Location.  To vote during Early Voting, please bring your voter's registration card, driver's license, or an other acceptable form of identification listed on the Harris Votes website.  Early voting hours are as follows:

Monday, October 19th - Friday,October 23rd: 8 am - 4:30 pm

Saturday, October 24th: 7 am - 7 pm

Sunday, October 25th: 1 pm - 6 pm

Monday, October 26th - Friday October 30th: 7 am - 7 pm

We're Going Batty at N.Channel Storytime!

 Are you ready for Halloween? Hear all about creepy bats & spooky spiders this week...Preschool Storytime is a weekly program, every Tuesday at 1:30 pm, for children 3 -6 years and their parents or care-givers that encourages pre-literacy . Are your children younger? Then join us for Toddler Time (recommended for 18 months to 3 years),every Tuesday at 10:30 am, or Baby Time (recommended for ages 0 -18 months) every Thursday at 10:30 am...It's never too early to encourage pre-literacy! Faithful Paws This Saturday

faithful pawsIt's time for another visit from our favorite furry friends-Faithful Paws!  Faithful Paws is an organization that brings dogs who love to hear kids read to them!  Help build reading confidence and cuddle a new pal at the same time!  Join Faithful Paws this Saturday,  October 17th from 2 pm to 3 pm.

Sea Shells Craft at North Channel Library

Sea ShellsCome join us at North Channel Library this Wednesday, October 14, at 4:30 pm for a Gulf Coast Reads Children's Craft. We will be using a variety of different sea shells to make your own mermaid crown or frame.

Steam Camp:

Do you ever find yourself asking, "How Does it Work?" Find out at this week's STEAM Camp/Family Night Monday evening from 6-7pm when we'll discover and explore the science behind magnets, catapults and kazoos too! The activities were developed by the Children's Museum, as part of the Children/Para los Ninos series, with bilingual instructions for ages 6 and up. Don't miss this fun and exciting parent/child workshop!
