Staying Safe

With all of the active shooter news around the country the past few months, we wanted to share some resources you may find helpful.  First, we have a link to a short video produced by the Texas State Office of Risk Management on Active Shooter Emergency Preparedness.  There is a great deal of good information in the video, however please be aware that it may be disturbing to some viewers. 

For parents who want to talk with their children about staying safe, the library carries books which may help you discuss a variety of safety topics with them:

 

Take Your Child to the Library Day @ North Channel

Tween Winter Craft @NC

Snowmen Craft  Make the winter last all year long!  Join us in the North Channel Branch Library's meeting room on Wednesday, January 30 at 4:30 pm for a tween winter craft.   We will be making snowmen using recycled materials.  This craft is recommended for students in 3rd through 6th grades and supplies will be provided.

North Channel Scrapbooking Club meeting on a new day

photoOur monthly North Channel Scrapbooking Club meeting dates have changed!  Starting this Saturday, January 19th we'll meet on the 3rd Saturday of every month from 10 am - 3 pm.  Don't forget to bring your photos and ideas. See you there!

Monday Movie Madness @ North Channel
