AThe Train To Crystal City by Jan Jarboe Russell World War II... The United States of America... Taken from their homes, Japanese, Italian and German immigrants and their American born children were taken by rail to Crystal City, Texas, home of the only family internment camp in the nation.  But Crystal City is also home to a secret prisoner exchange program, designed to return high profile prisoners of war from behind enemy lines.  Hundreds of citizens will find themselves sent to survive in the war-torn Germany and Japan, cut away from their American home and struggle to return to America.

Are you ready for some festive Fall fun? Join us Wednesday, October 19 at 4:30 pm at North Channel Branch when you can create your own spooky monster out of popsicle sticks! This program is recommended for ages 4 years and up. No tickets are required.

STEAM Camp: Halloween Science!

We sure had fun at last month's STEAM Camp Engineering Challenge making LEGO/Pool Noodle Marble Runs! Be sure to join us Monday, October 17 at 6pm for STEAM again, when we create some Halloween magic  with a  "Ghost in a Bottle"  experiment. Try  your hand at making a Candy Corn Catapult as well...Recommended for ages 6-12 years. Free tickets are available at the front desk.
