Teen Summer Reading Events

Heroes and VilliansTeens and tweens, this week's travels will lead us into the land of Heroes and Villains.  On Tuesday, July 23, join us in the meeting room to create Olympian style laurel crowns.  On Thursday, July 25,  join us for a super game of freeze tag where you will determine who is a superhero and just who is a villain.

All teen and tween programs start at 4:30 in the public meeting room.  Join us for some fun games and crafts.  Don't forget to sign up for the Summer Reading Program online to log the books you have read this summer.

Adult Summer Reading ProgramMeet the second drawing winner of our 2013 Adult Summer Reading Program—Caitlyn Kelly!  Caitlyn is the happy winner of a $25 Amazon gift card.  An enthusiastic reader of historical romances, her card will probably go to buy more books.  Caitlyn won her gift card just by signing up for our Adult Summer Reading Program and logging in the books she read-you can win just as easily too!

Adults who read or listen to 5 books or log 600 minutes will be entered in random drawings to win one of two Kindle Fires, or a $30.00 bookstore gift card at conclusion of the program. Additional random drawings from all adult registrants will be held during the summer for a chance to win a Kindle Paperwhite.

North Channel Book Club

Grayson by Lynne Cox

Sometimes the journeys we take do not lead to the destinations we expect.  Sometimes while on these unplanned voyages we forge new friendships leading us to personal enlightenment.  Sometimes the friendships we build are with humans and, sometimes, the friends who teach us most do not walk on two legs.
