Britten, ‘The Turn of the Screw’ Royal College of Music, Benjamin Britten International Opera School, 22nd November 2003The North Channel Book Club will turn to the dark and spooky for the October discussion of “The Turn of the Screw” by Henry James. A classic of example of Victorian ghost stories, this psychological thriller focuses on a young governess and her two troubled young charges. Are the children being haunted by ghosts or is the governess simply losing her mind? James’ novella will leave you guessing (and maybe a little afraid of the dark.)

Early Voting is coming!

  It's time for early voting!  Once again, North Channel Library will serve as an Early Voting location.  If you chose to wait until Election Day to vote, you will need to go to your Precinct Polling Location.  To vote during Early Voting, please bring your voter's registration card, driver's license, or an other acceptable form of identification listed on the Harris Votes website.  Early voting hours are as follows: 

 Monday, October 18th-Friday,October 22nd: 8 am - 4:30 pm

Saturday, October 23rd: 7 am - 7 pm

Sunday, October 24th: 1 pm - 6 pm

Monday, October 25th-29th: 7 am - 7 pm
