Monday Movie Madness

Monday MovieNorth Channel has so many fun activities in the midst for October, and we're starting off with an all new Monday Movie Madness.
Come join us this Monday, October 5, 2015 as we watch Cinderella (2015) on our big screen projector. It is the latest live action film, rated PG, and has a run time of 105 minutes. As always, don't forget to bring your pillows, blankets, and snacks (light colored drinks) for a relaxing fun time.

Library Book Sale this Weekend

girl readingIt's back! Come shop at the Friends of the North Channel Library Book Sale! The book sale will be this Friday, October 2nd and Saturday, October 3rd during the library's open hours.  All proceeds from the sale go directly to the North Channel Library to fund various library needs, such as summer performers, books and other items.  Don't miss our book sale this weekend!

STEAM Camp: 3-D Printing!


Would you like to see a 3-D printer in action? Then drop by North Channel Branch this evening, Monday September 28 at 6pm for STEAM Camp! It's your last chance to view the touring 3-D printer h for now...so don't miss it. Staff will demonstrate, run the printer, and distribute give-away items like little minecraft and robot trinkets! STEAM Camp is usually recommended for ages 8 and up, however, anyone interested in learning about this new and advancing technology is welcome. The program will be held in the Public Meeting Room. 3-D Printer Activities @ North Channel

3-D PrinterHave you ever wondered about 3-D Printing? How long does it take to print an object? What does the finished project look like? North Channel will have the 3-D printer for 10 days and will be offering demonstrations, so come by any of the following programs to experience the fun and excitement of the latest technology advancement.
On Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 4:30 pm during Tween Time, Ms. Meredith will be here to demonstrate how the printer works, and show some cool examples of items that have printed off the machine. 

For the Children/Para los Ninos!

Would you like to engage your child in fun pre-literacy, bilingual activities developed by the Children's Museum of Houston?Then attend Loving Limits Tuesday, September 15 at 10:30 am or 1:30pm! This For the Children/Para los Ninos parent/child workshop will be held in the Public Meeting Room and is recommended for ages 2-7 years. Groups please call North Channel Branch at 281-457-1631.
