Happy Thanksgiving from North Channel Library!

turkeyIn observance of the Thanksgiving Day holiday, the North Channel Library will be closing at 5 pm on Wednesday, November 25th.  We will remain closed from Thursday, November 26th through Sunday, November 29th.  We will reopen on Monday, November 30th at 1 pm.  Don't forget that you can access many library resources from our website, www.hcpl.net.   We hope you have a happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday!

Thanksgiving Break Fun!

What are your Thanksgiving break plans? Even though school is out, there are plenty of fun activities planned at North Channel Branch! Join us this Saturday, November 21 from 2 to 3pm for our monthly visit from Faithful Paws, when all ages are welcome to read with a trained, clean and well-groomed friendly pooch. Next, around 3pm, we'll release the twelve painted lady butterflies that have been on display for a week in our butterfly tent in various stages...Be sure to stick around from 3 to 4pm for the Pokémon Club, for kids ages 8 and up-this month in addition to gaming, we'll make Pikachu pencil bags! Tween Time Celebrates Character Birthday

Guess who's birthday is today??
You're right, it's MICKEY MOUSE!!!

Today Mickey is turning 87 and we are celebrating during today's Tween Time at 4:30. Come enjoy some yummy treats, and watch some old school Mickey Mouse movies with us. We might have a special guest drop by, so bring your cameras. You'll also have a fun time taking pictures at the photo booth, (smiling and silly faces are welcome).
**Tween time is a monthly program recommended for kids ages 10-12 years old.
