Website design with WIX

In the online age that we live in, having a professional website is an absolute necessity for nearly all career choices and business ventures. A great website can simultaneously operate as a marketing tool, a store platform, a display of works and skills, a communication channel and as an engine for branding. Ability Level: Intermediate. Requirements: Must be able to type, use mouse, have an email address and have some familiarity with social media. Dates: July 8th and July 22nd at 10:00am. 

Saturday Wild Things Zoofari

Wild Things ZoofariSaturday, July 8th at 2:00 pm come to the library to see Wild Things Zoofari. They will be bringing a variety of exotic animals to learn about, see, hear, smell and touch. The aim is to inspire the children to learn about these wonderful animals and in the process be inspired to do great things for the protection of exotic animals and their native habitats as adults. Be sure to check out some books about animals, which will be on display during the program. Come 30 minutes early to get a free ticket at the desk.  This program is for children 5-11 years old and is limited.

Make a Difference in Your Community!

Volunteer instructors are needed to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, citizenship, and adult literacy in our community.  Training and materials are provided along with flexible scheduling. Make a difference in your community today. Community Swap Shop July 13th, 2017 at 1:30 pm - Kids Clothes, Toys, and Games

KIDS CLOTHES, TOYS AND GAMES!
Mid-summer swap out - supplies for babies and kids of all ages. Refresh the kids’ toys, games and puzzles.
Reset the wardrobe for growing bodies. Bring your outgrown but still usable items and go home with something
different.

Put out your items where others can shop. Selection will be based on what others bring; first-come, first-serve and condition is as-is. Item donations are encouraged, but not required for participation. Please collect only for personal use. Items remaining at the end of the swap will be given free to those in need, donated to community non-profits, or recycled, is deemed appropriate.

Discover and Build Bots with Meccano

RobotsMondays, June 26th, July 10th and July 24th from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm come and build a robotrobot at the library.  Build one of three different robots by Meccano using tools, then learn how to program and play with them.  Must have the assistance of one adult. This is a great summer family project to do with your child. We are limited to 15 at each 2 hour session.  Please come 30 minutes early to get a free ticket at the desk. This program for for ages 8-11. If you are older ages 12 and up, we have a program called Bot Build on Wednesdays from 4:00-6:00 pm.  You will group build the large 4 foot robot pictured.
