Books Alive! from the page to the stage

Join us Tuesday, December 6th at 10:30 AM for a professionally staged, original 45 minute musical adapted from the beloved book Tacky the Penguin by Helen Lester. It will be performed by the group Books Alive! from the page to the stage. Discover how Tacky teaches the other Penguins about acceptance by saving them from the Hunter!  What a wonderful way to introduce your child to the theater. This is a show for children 3-6 years. Please come 30 minutes early to get a free ticket, it will be limited to 70 people.

Toys for Tots

Precinct 3, in a partnership with the U.S. Marine Corps, is collecting toys for Toys for Tots. Currently new, unwrapped toys for girls and boys are being collected, and the Northwest Branch Library is serving as one of the collection sites. Make a difference in your community

Volunteer instructors are needed to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, citizenship, and adult literacy in our community.  Training and materials are provided along with flexible scheduling. Make a difference in your community today. ABC mouse is available for free at the Northwest Library

ABCmouse is now available to Northwest Library customers. ABCmouse is an online, educational software that provides 5000+ interactive books, educational games, puzzles, and other learning activities for children, ages 2-7 years old.  ABCmouse is available only on the library computers; there is no remote access to this resource.
