Join Us for the Next eMedia Class

Customers using iPadSummer is coming, so start gathering your leisure reading! This is the perfect time to start checking out the library's eMedia collection. The Northwest Branch is ready to help you download free library materials to your device (Kindle, iPad, etc.). We regularly hold sessions on the ins and outs of using your devices with our collection. Our next session will be on Saturday, May 28, at 10:00 AM.

Join us for Some Origami

Origami CranesWho feels like doing some origami? Learn to fold paper to make fun creations Monday, May 16, at 4:30 PM.  All the supplies will be provided. This program is for kids 8+. Come join us!

Library Hosting Henna Program

Henna HandJoin us Saturday, May 14, at 2:00 PM for our henna program. This hand painting is an artistic custom practiced in many cultures around  the world and now it can be your turn to participate. Henna is not permanent, but instead stains the skin. Those who wish to participate must sign the consent form. If you have any questions about the program, then just call us at 281-890-2665 and ask for Gwendolyn.

Read to Grow

Teens Reading with Young ChildrenJoin us Wednesday, May 11, at 5:00 pm in the Children's Library for an afterschool storytime for young children.  Read to Grow is a high school club where honors students will help promote language building and literacy for children by reading and sharing favorite stories. No registration is required. Just come and enjoy a good story.

Book Sale Tomorrow

Friends of the Northwest Branch Library LogoWe're excited! The Friends of the Northwest Branch Library Book Sake is tomorrow! Everyone is invited to attend, where you’ll find gently-used books, CDs, DVDs and more.

All funds collected go to support the Northwest Branch, so come for the deals and end up helping the library.
