I grabbed a backpack and headed to Washington, DC, with one hope in mind; a behind the scenes tour of the Library of Congress. That was exactly what I got! Chills came over me as I walked up the stairs to this great library.

What? Summer just started? And it's ALREADY time to prepare for your SATs and ACTs!

College BoundAre you a college-bound teen looking to use this summer wisely? Why not prepare for your SATs and ACTs at the library? Kaplan Services will be proctoring FREE practice tests for all teens serious about going to college. The schedule is as follows:
SAT Test - Saturday, June 25th @ 10:30 AM
SAT Test - Saturday, July 16th @ 10:30 AM
ACT Test - Saturday, August 13th @ 10:30 AM

DINOmite Storytime and Craft - Presented by Volunteer Maddie!

DINOmitePre-teen Volunteer Ms. Maddie will be presenting her first-ever Story and a Craft Program. Come and join us as for a DINOmite time. The program will be geared to ages 3 to 7. Admission tickets will be given out beginning at 1:30PM for the 2:00PM program. A maximum of 25 children will be allow in! So don't miss out! Rooooaaaar!   

Teens - Love The Hunger Games? Meet others that do, too!

Hunger GamesTeens - Are you a fan of The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins? Come to Northwest Library on Saturday, June 18th at 3:00PM and meet others that love the series, too. Talk about the plots, the characters and learn more about the writer. This program will be presented by Teen Volunteer Chloe. She loves the books and is looking forward to running her first ever Northwest Teen Readers Book Club. No sign up is required. We hope to see you there!
