Creative Art Club for Adults, Wednesday afternoons at 2:00pm

Studies have shown that coloring and other art activities can help lower anxiety levels, reduce stress, and prevent boredom. Come and join us at the Northwest Branch Library and get in touch with your creative side. All materials will be provided by the library, event is free and open to the public. High-5 Club

Sticky, Sticky, Stuck!Saturday, December 9th at 3:00 PM join the High Five Science Club presented by the University of Houston Be a Teacher Club to learn about sticky stuff. We will be reading the book Sticky, Sticky, Stuck! by Michael Gutch. We will be doing a fun game and everyone will get to take home some treats and Christmas slime! Come to the desk 30 minutes before the program to get a free ticket. Space is limited.  For ages 1st-3rd grade.

Yoga for Adults on Wednesdays at 6:15 pm

Beginner level YOGA class every Wednesday evening at 6:15pm. Yoga is a system of physical exercises, breath control, and meditation aimed at attaining bodily and mental control and well-being. The word “yoga” comes from the Sanskrit word Yuj, meaning to “yoke,” “join,” or “unite.” The word implies joining or integrating all aspects of the body with the mind to achieve a healthy and balanced life.
