Today @ Toddler Storytime

I had the opportunity to cover the Toddler Time program for Ms Susan this morning.

In case you missed the program, I wanted to remind you that we have an additional Toddler Storytime at 1:30 pm today.

The theme this week is snow, and I have a fun craft to share. I hope to see you this afternoon.

What Does McDonalds Have To Do With Reading?

So, what does "the golden aches" have to do with reading? Actually, very little.  However, if your child see a McDonalds business logo then promptly announces that they want McDonalds, it’s time to celebrate!  This action may seem insignificant but it is not.  Consequentially, when a child is able to show an awareness between a symbol and its meaning, they have taken a huge step towards learning to read.

Bubbles, Babies and Literacy

During each Infant Lapsit program, I like to provide an opportunity for the children to play with bubbles.  So, you might wonder how bubbles are related to a literacy program.  Everyone knows that children enjoy this activity; however, there really is more thought behind my choice.
