Calling All Teen Poets!

Are You Atascocita’s Next Top Teen Poet? Calling all Teen poets! The Atascocita Branch Library’s sixth annual Teen Poetry contest is now accepting submissions. If you are between the ages of 12 and 18, you have until April 30th to submit your original, unpublished poetry to win fabulous prizes including a Poet’s Gift Basket full of books and other poetic items.

Poems should be typed or neatly handwritten and cannot contain obscenities, gang affiliations, racial slurs, or overt sexual imagery.  Make sure you put your name, age, address, phone number, and e-mail on each entry.  The library retains the right to use the poems in any publicity or in-house publications. You can submit your poems in person at the Atascocita Library or e-mail them to: ata4ya@gmail.com.

If you need any further information, please contact Darla Pruitt at 281-812-2162.

Learning about the Library

Children visiting the Atascocita Branch Library received a tour of the library today.  Ms Susan also read one of our favorite picture books, "Bark George," by Jules Feiffer.
