Fun With Math

Fingerplays  and songs are a great way to help children learn basic math concepts.  Here is one that I will be using in my storytime during the Spring season.

Listen To The Voices Of Africa

Children and their families are invited to join our program to celebrate Black History Month. Please be aware that space is limited for all programs. The safety of the children we serve is our first consideration. Room capacity, as determined by the fire Marshall, as well as our desire for a high quality program experience, may necessitate limits.

If you are not able to make the program, you might want to check out a few of the books that I have listed below to share with those you love.

You Would Not! Could Not ! Want To Miss, A Celebration Such As This!

Thursday, March 1st @ 4:00 pm.

We are having a party to celebrate the life and work of  Theodor Seuss Geisel, who is better known as Dr. Seuss.  As many of you might already know, The Lorax movie will be out soon in theaters. So, we have a special treat that is based on the book for our friends.

Could it be a yummy birthday cake? A fun activity? Maybe some stories to share? Who knows? You will have to attend our party to see what fun we have planned. Our favorite library cat will be in attendance to greet children. So, you will want to bring your cameras. We look forward to see our old friends and making new ones too.

Don't Forget The Booksale This Week!

The Friends of the Atascocita Library will be holding a community book sale this weekend, and 100 % of the funds from the book sales go back to the library.

Did you know that members of FOAL have the opportunity to purchase books before anyone else in the community? There will be many great finds for both children and adults.

Not yet a member? No problem! Memberships will be available on site during the book sale, or you may pick up an application at the library. Annual memberships for FOAL cost $5.00 for individuals, 10.00 for families and $25.00 for businesses.
