Celebrating Spring

Storytimes this Week.

Children, who attended family storytime last night, celebrated the beginning of the spring season by making wands.

The family storytime program meets every Monday night, at 7:00 p.m.  Children of all ages are welcome. Craft projects are often provided.

Coming up later this week, Ms Susan will be reading a few of her favorite books about spring.  Toddler storytime is on Wednesdays at 10:00 am and 1:30 pm.  Pre-school program is held on Thursday at 10:00 am.  We hope to see you there.

Love @ First Sight, Atascocita Pokemon Club

Thursday, March 31st @ 4:00 pm

Children ages 7 to 10 years old are invited to join our Pokemon Club. This meeting will be a great opportunity to meet other players and share ideas. Please make sure to bring your Nintendo DS, games, trading cards, and anything else you would like to share and discuss.

In the meantime, below are my Pokemon book picks for the month.  If you have created a Pokemon drawing Ms Susan and I would love to see it.  Feel free to bring it in to share with the group.

Ferret Cam

Children and their families had a wonderful time learning about ferrets last Monday evening at the Atascocita Branch Library.

If you missed out on the fun, but are interested in ferrets, I would like to recommend checking out the ferret cam at the National Zoo's Conservation and Research Center.  At this site, you will be able to view a nesting box at the Zoo's Virginia campus.  Soon this mother ferret will have her babies, and you will be able to view them as well.
