Start Your Holiday Shopping Early @ This Weekend's FOAL Book Sale

With the holidays around the corner, it is time to start get your gift list together. One of my favorite places to shop is right here at the library. This weekend is the FOAL (Friends of the Atascocita Library) book sale and it's a great opportunity to pick up fabulous books for incredibly low prices. In addition to books, you can also find magazines, DVDs, CDs, and VHS tapes. If you are a member of FOAL, or want to become one, you can shop the preview on Friday, October 23rd from 5pm to 7pm; otherwise, you can catch the sale on Saturday, October 24th from 10AM to 4PM.

Meet BOLT: Atascocita Library's Board of Library Teens

In October, we launched our very first teen advisory board at the Atascocita Library. Our Board of Library Teens (aka BOLT) will help develop young adult programs, assist the childrens department with special project and raise funds for the library. Members include (back row from left to right) Roger Thomas III, Stephanie Simpson, Nicole Edgar, Marisol Harper, (front row from left to right) Emily Dousay and Ariel Thomas. Stayed tuned for their first event entitled "Winter Wonderland" at the Winter Program on December 12th.
