Building Life Skills – Basic Exercise February 15th @ 5 PM [9+]

     To combat the modern day convention of binge watching Nexflix and eating junk food, we will be focusing on the basic need for and types of exercise.


     Join us on February 15th at 5PM in the Library Community Room at the Parker Williams Branch Library. We will be learning how your diet effects your weight, what general guidelines the Office of the Surgeon General has given us, and a variety of exercises that are available.

Name that Book Read Aloud – The Amazing Age of John Roy Lynch by Chris Barton February 14th @ 5 PM [8+]

     Continuing on the Pasadena ISD Name That Book List, we will be reading Chris Barton’s The Amazing Age of John Roy Lynch.

     This book focuses on the life of John Roy Lynch, a former slave who sought out education after being emancipated and took the opportunities of life all the way to the United States Congress. Please join us in the Library Community Room at 5 PM on February 14th at the Parker Williams Library to get a head start or just listen to this great story.

Anti-Valentine's Day Books for Teens

Are you a person that would rather their star-crossed lover burn up while entering the atmosphere? Would you rather invest more time developing your relationship with your cat? Community Craft – Valentine’s Day Craft February 9th @ 3:30-5:30 PM [6+]

    With Valentine’s day just around the corner, you can make a card for that special someone.

 

   Join us on February 9th from 3:30 to 5:30 PM in the Library Community Room to create a card that expresses all the feels.
