Community Craft – Hispanic Heritage Celebration September 23rd @ 3-5 PM [6+]

 

Please join us at the Parker Williams Branch in our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month on September 23rd from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the Library Community Room by creating colorful tissue flowers and painting some Spanish patterned tiles.

Citizenship application help available here on September 21

Constitution Day and Citizenship Day is coming up. Thinking about applying to become a citizen? BIA accredited representatives of Boat People SOS will be at the library on Wednesday, September 21 from 3 to 5 p.m. to provide free help in submitting applications. Drop by the library beforehand to pick up a questionnaire and checklist so that you know what to bring with you. Registration is required.

Hour of Code – Scratch Project “Speed Racer” September 8th @ 4:30 PM [8+]

Hour of Code is a program brought to you by the Parker Williams Branch to help give school aged children some exposure to various computer programming languages.

Meet us in the Library Computer Lab on September 8th from 4:30 to 5:30 to get an introduction to MIT’s free programing language Scratch while creating a simple racing game named "Speed Racer."
