Movie Madness

It's movie time again at Parker Williams Library.  Join us for this family friendly movie on Thursday, March 24th, at 4pm.  The movie is rated PG and lasts about 90 minutes.  Don't forget the popcorn!

After a super-villain kills his good-guy nemesis, Metro Man, he becomes bored since there is no one left to fight. He creates a new foe, Titan , who, instead of using his powers for good, sets out to destroy the world, positioning the super-villain to save the day for the first time in his life.

Seeking Donations for Book Sale

The Friends of the Parker Williams Library will gladly accept donations of books, magazines, cds', dvds', children's games and puzzles.  These items will then be sold at the Friends' monthly book sale to raise money to support the library's programming, both adult and children, furnishings, and other items.

Check Yourself Out

In a hurry?  Just want to check out quickly and there's a line at the circulation desk?  Now you will be able to check out your own items at the library's self check-out stations.  All you need to do is scan your library card, scan the barcodes on the items you are taking, and print your date due receipt.  If you don't want a paper receipt, you can have the receipt emailed to you instead.

Once Upon a Time: Telling Stories Through Clay

Once again the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, is bringing art from the museum to the library.  The exhibit this year, Once Upon a Time: Telling Stories through Clay, will be at the library until March 28, 2011.
