March is colorectal cancer awareness month

Only lung cancer kills more Americans each year than colon cancer. March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Community Craft – Beading Bracelets [All Ages] - Thursday, March 15 at 3 PM

 

If you are looking for something to do for Spring Break, join us on Thursday, March 15th at 3 PM in the Library Community Room to learn some basic beading techniques as you will construct your own beaded bracelets. All ages, children and adults, are welcome.

STEM Time – Fibonacci’s Number [7+] - Wednesday, March 14 at 3 PM

In nature, there is a repeating pattern that we can see in a variety of places.

It is sometimes found in a parallel roll in computer programing and technology.

On Wednesday, March 14th join us in the Library Community Room at 5 PM to learn about the fascinating places we can find Fibonacci’s number.

Join Andrew Hardwick, public affairs specialist for the Social Security Administration, Monday, March 19 at 6:30 p.m. Learn about age of eligibility to receive retirement benefits; how early retirement affects benefits; qualifications for disability, survivor, and spouse benefits; the future of Social Security, when to file for Medicare, and how to use your Social Security online account. If possible, please go to www.socialsecurity.gov/myaccount and create a my Social Security account and print out your Social Security Statement before attending the workshop.

Magic: The Gathering Gameplay [8+] - Saturday, March 10 from 2-4 PM

Magic: The Gathering is a dueling card game from Wizards of the Coast. It incorporates strategy, mythical lore, and competitive-community play.

Join us on March 10th on the Library Floor for game play from 2-4 PM. For those who would like to learn how to play, a staff member will be present to teach you.
