Teen Tuesday – Intro to Fandoms June 7th @ 3:00 PM [11+]


Have you ever heard of a Fandom? Do you know what a Fandom is? Do you know what Fandoms are out there? Are you completely confused?
 

If you are (or aren’t), you can come to the Parker Williams Branch for the beginning of our Summer of Fandoms on June 7th at 3 PM.

We will be explaining what a Fandom is, what Fandoms are out there, and how to celebrate your newly found love of Fandoms. You will be able to find us in the Library Community Room.

Sugar Shockers! with the Houston Food Bank August 3rd @ 2:30 PM [3+]


     Learn interesting facts and figures about the different amounts of sugar that you find in food that you eat every day. The Houston Food Bank's Nutrition Education experts will shock and amaze us all in the Library Community Room at 2:30 PM on August 3rd at the Parker Williams Library.

Teen DIY & A Movie – Metropolis (PG-13) 108 min. and Manga Boxes May 25th @ 4 PM [13+]

In celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, we are playing the anime movie Metropolis based on manga legend Osamu Tezuka’s story.

We will be taking some of Osamu Tezuka’s comics and decoupage them to create Manga Boxes. 

Summer Volunteer Orientation May 20th @ 4:30 PM [12+]

 

     If you are interested in volunteering for the Parker Williams Branch over the summer, come on down to see the different activities and opportunities the library is providing for you throughout the summer on May 20th at 4:30 PM in the Library Community Room.
