Volunteer as an ESL tutor

Teaching English as a second language classes is a great way to help people with a very important skill while also creating an interactive setting to help learners practice speaking and listening with each other. Volunteers meet once or twice per week on a convenient schedule following activities and lessons provided by the library. No need to speak a second language yourself -- classes are in English. A training session takes place on Saturday, September 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. For more information or to register for this session, please call the library at 281-851-2727 or see the events calendar.
