How do artists work?

Learn about how San Jacinto College Professor Jeff McGee became an artist and talk about what constitutes any artist – whether an independent artist or someone who applies that same type of creativity and problem solving skills to any line of work.  You can also see some of his work at his website www.jeffmcgeeart.com  His work has been featured in numerous local, national and international exhibit

Welcome new citizens

Congratulations to Linh Nguyen (from left) and his citizenship students (also from left) Anh Tieu, Chi Tran, Diep Ho, Toan Nguyen, Dung Nguyen and Loi Nguyen.  They had become citizens in the past few months and got together to celebrate Citizenship and Constitution Day.  They meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings at the library.

Movie Madness

Join us on Friday, October 10 at 4:00 p.m. for Movie Madness.  The feature this month is a comedy about a couple of recently deceased ghosts that contract the services of a "bio-exorcist" in order to remove the obnoxious new owners of their house.

It’s not October yet, but it’s a good time to pick up a copy of this year’s Gulf Coast Reads selection.

Computer Classes for October

The following computer classes will be offered in October:

Internet Basics I - presented on October 1, 3:00-4:30 p.m.

Internet Basics II - presented on October 3, 3:00 - 4:30 p.m.

Internet Basics III - presented on October 13,  3:00 – 4:30 p.m.

Internet Security Essentials - presented on October 15, 3:00 - 4:30 p.m.


To register for classes you may either stop by the reference desk or phone the library at 281-484-2036 and one of the librarians will sign you up for the classes.
