Hour of Code – Scratch Project “Speed Racer” September 8th @ 4:30 PM [8+]

Hour of Code is a program brought to you by the Parker Williams Branch to help give school aged children some exposure to various computer programming languages.

Meet us in the Library Computer Lab on September 8th from 4:30 to 5:30 to get an introduction to MIT’s free programing language Scratch while creating a simple racing game named "Speed Racer."

 

 

SCORE workshop: Small business funding sources

Join SCORE Mentor and Counselor Dr. Lalitha Raman on September 17 at 10:30 a.m. for a workshop on small business financing. You will learn about the various sources of funds in the marketplace, the best place to start, what the lenders look for when reviewing a funding application and the key ingredients for success when borrowing money.

The free workshop will also cover sources of equity and how to use equity as an alternative to borrowing funds.

National Parks 100th Birthday Celebration August 25th @ 4:30 PM [3+]

 

    Celebrate the National Parks Service turning 100 years old with us on August 25th. There will be coloring of National Park posters and a junior ranger paper craft while watching a short documentary about the different National Parks throughout our country.

     Join us on August 25th at 4:30PM in the Library Community Room at the Parker Williams Branch.
