Hour of Code – Programming without Computers 101 June 9th @ 4:30 PM [8+]

Hour of Code is a program brought to you by the Parker Williams Branch to help give school aged children some exposure to various computer programming languages.
 

Meet us in the Library Community Room on June 9th from 4:30 to 5:30 to start learning how to create a sequence of code without computers with a few simple and fun activities.

Teen Tuesday – Intro to Fandoms June 7th @ 3:00 PM [11+]


Have you ever heard of a Fandom? Do you know what a Fandom is? Do you know what Fandoms are out there? Are you completely confused?
 

If you are (or aren’t), you can come to the Parker Williams Branch for the beginning of our Summer of Fandoms on June 7th at 3 PM.

We will be explaining what a Fandom is, what Fandoms are out there, and how to celebrate your newly found love of Fandoms. You will be able to find us in the Library Community Room.

     Learn interesting facts and figures about the different amounts of sugar that you find in food that you eat every day. The Houston Food Bank's Nutrition Education experts will shock and amaze us all in the Library Community Room at 2:30 PM on August 3rd at the Parker Williams Library.
