Summer Is Here!

Summer is here and with it also the start of HCPL's Summer Reading Program.  The program runs from Monday, June 3 through Saturday, August 10.  The program is open to readers and listeners of all ages.

Las clases de computacion gratis van a continuar todo el verano! Tenemos clases para principantes y mas advanzadas para los que ya saben lo basico. Aqui esta una lista de los clases basicas:

Lunes Junio 3 @ 5:30- Computacion Basica

Miercoles Junio 5 @ 10:15- Raton y Teclado

Jueves Junio 6 @10:15- Mecanografia

Unas clases tienen requisitos, asi que llama la biblioteca en 713-941-2385, o haga click aqui para saber mas informacion. No se requiere registracion, y todas las clases son GRATIS! Espero ver los en Junio!

Soda Bottle Flowers

Join us on Monday, May 20, 2013 @ 1:30 pm in celebrating Asian Pacific American Heritage Month and paint a cherry blossom tree on a canvas using paint and soda bottles.  All materials will be provided by the Friends of the South Houston Library.

Bird Feeder Craft -Thursday, April 18 @ 4pm

Come learn how to make a environmentally friendly bird feeder from common household food items. Craft is recommended for ages 4-12. Please be advised we will be using peanut butter. For more information please call 713-941-2385

Have you ever wanted to "test drive" an iPad or a Kindle? This is your chance to try an eReader that you have been curious about, or have considered purchasing! The South Houston Library will be hosting a technology petting zoo this Saturday April 6th @ 2:30. The technology zoo includes; iPads, Nook Color, Kindle, iPods and much more!
