March 22 = World Water Day

Did you know that March 22 is World Water Day?  This day is observed to call attention to the world's water resources.  If you want to read more about water, its cycles, the animals that make water their home, and more, check out some of these books available at the South Houston Branch:

Computer Classes -






The  South Houston Public Library is offering free computer classes every Wednesday and Thursday from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Everyone is welcome.  Classes vary every week. Registration is required before attending class. During the month of April 2010 the classes will consist of Internet Basics and Online Picture Editing. Books For Sale

We are already in the second week of March. The Summer Reading Program will be begin before you know it.  Come support the South Houston Library by purchasing books on sale by the Friends of the South Houston Library.  The proceeds will be used help us provide great programs for the kids this Summer.  Thank you all in advance for your support. 

Storytime | Lectura de los cuentos

Don’t miss out on all of our storytime fun! Your children will enjoy books, sing songs, and make crafts! All toddlers and preschoolers are invited to be a part of this wonderful program. Storytimes are bilingual and take place on every Tuesday and Wednesday at 11 a.m.


¡No se pierda la diversión de la lectura de los cuentos! Sus niños disfrutaran libros, cantaran y harán manualidades. Todos los niños preescolares estan invitados a participar en este programa. La lectura de los cuentos es bilingüe y se llevara acabo cada martes y miércoles a las 11 de la mañana.
