Marionette Puppet Show!

  You are in for an amazing treat this Monday, June 29th at 3:00 pmJean Kuechner of Marionette Playhouse will be in the Children's Area to present her telling of Sleeping Beauty and the Handsome Prince!  This program is FREE and appropriate for children (and adults) of all ages! And, there's still 6 weeks left of the Summer Reading Program!  Register and create your profile, read and log your books, get your certificate and incentives and most importantly, have lots of fun!

June is nearly over. Have you signed up for the Teen Summer Reading Program yet? If not, what are you waiting for? Create an account, log 5 books, and then pick up your prize at the library. It’s as easy as that!

This week, stop by the library and make a masked ninja stress ball! All supplies provided. For teens and tweens ages 10-18. Meet in the first floor Meeting Room on Tuesday, June 30 from 3:00-4:30 pm.

Children's Movie Day!

Tomorrow is Movie Day in the Children's Area!  join us on Thursday, June 25th at 3:00 pm in the Children's Area for a movie and popcorn!  Charlie Bucket and 5 other children draw golden tickets from Wonka chocolate bars and win a guided tour of the legendary candy factory that no outsider has seen in 15 years.  Dazzled by one amazing site after another, Charlie is drawn into Wonka's fantastic world.  This is the 2005 PG rated Johnny Depp version of the classic movie! Lone Star Art Guild Convention and Show: A regional Art Show and Sale in your back yard!

Please consider adding to your Saturday plans a visit to the Lone Star Art Guild’s 53rd Annual Convention and Art Exhibition at the new Klein Multipurpose Center on FM 2920. The Lone Star Art Guild is the umbrella group for 17 independent art leagues within a 200-mile radius of Houston, including the Tomball Art League. At this convention the winning works from the member art leagues’ art shows are judged against each other. So all the work you will see will be the best of each club. You’ll see paintings, drawings, mixed media pieces, photographs, and digital art; sculpture and studio fine crafts.
The convention itself is happening Friday and Saturday; the Pubic Art Exhibition and Sale is from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. For further information visit their website.


Heroes & Villains Ball

Calling all heroes and villains! Put on your fanciest cape and join us for an evening of dancing, crafts, a photo booth, and snacks. For teens and tweens ages 10-18. Meet in the first floor Meeting Room on Tuesday, June 23 from 6:30-8:00 pm.

And don’t miss the second session of Summer of Code later in the week! Missed the first session? Don’t worry! You can still come and learn the basics of computer coding. Meet in the second floor Computer Lab on Thursday, June 25 from 10:00-11:00am.
