iPads, Kindles, and Nooks, Oh My! continues @ the library

 

 

Follow your HCPL crew down the Yellow Brick Road to the Emerald City where we will guide you on using your iPad, Kindle, Nook or other eBook device to check out free ebooks & eaudiobooks. Bestowed with the courage to dive into this new technology; the brain power to indulge in a new era; and the heart to love the new literacy you have acquired; you will discover…There’s no place like the Tomball Library. We have two more sessions coming up, on Saturday, February 18th from 1:15-3:15 pm  and  Tuesday, February 21, from 7-9:00 pm.

VALENTINE VICTORIAN ART!

Love is in the air at Art Explorers in the Children's Department on Monday, February 13th at 1:00 pm and Tuesday, February 14th at 4:30 pm!  We'll learn about the history of Victorian art and create a beautiful Valentine card!  This program is limited to 20 children for each session (2nd - 6th grade).  Call 832-559-4235 for more information and to register!

Finding your Tax Forms Online

Are you filing your own income tax return and having trouble finding all the forms you need? Beginning this Saturday, librarian Charity Martin will guide you along the internet path to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) website so you can find all the forms, instructions, and publications you need.  For your convenience she will give this presentation three times:

Saturday, February 11 from 10:15-12:15

Monday, February 13 from noon-2:00 pm

Tuesday, February 28, from 7:00-9:00 pm

These free presentations will take place in the Computer Lab, Room L-216. No registration is required.

Register for Craft Time on Tuesday, February 7th at 4:30 pm in the Children's Department!  We'll supply everything you need to create a one of a kind Valentine's Day magnet and card for that special someone!  This program is limited to 20 children (2nd - 6th grade).  Call 832-559-4235 for more info and to register!

All Aboard! to the Museum of Fine Arts Houston

This otherworldly view will be the privilege of fifty-five library customers who have signed up for the Museum of Fine Arts Houston's free bus trip to the museum this Saturday, February 4th. MFAH is sponsoring this trip in conjunction with its traveling exhibit, "A Passion for Glass", which wrapped up this week at the Tomball Library. 

For those of you who have signed up, the bus will leave the library parking lot at 9:30 sharp. Any cancellations to the sold-out list will be filled at that time with those people on the waiting list who are at the bus.
