Northwest Art League group exhibiting in Room L-129

Within a 200-mile radius of Houston there are 18 independent art leagues under an umbrella fine arts organization called the Lone Star Art Guild. The Tomball Art League serves our immediate area and its next-door neighbor to the south is the Northwest Art League. This month we are delighted to host the artworks of a group of Northwest Art League members in our meeting room. Carmen Zorba, Claire Payne, Jerry Sue Greenhill, and Anh Lam have braved the traffic along Highway 249 to come north and hang a variety of acrylic and watercolor pieces. Do come by and enjoy their work.

Autism Awareness Month

The month of April is Autism Awareness month.  This nationwide effort promotes awareness, inclusion and self-determination for all with ASD, and also strives to assure that each person is provided with every opportunity to achieve their highest possible quality of life. The Library joins in this awareness and shows their support by “lighting up blue” the overhead lighting of the first floor reference area of the library.  And, on Saturday, April 25th at 11:00 in room L129,  a Sensory Sensitive Film will be shown – the sound will be lowered, the lights left up and all in attendance are invited to bring snacks, move about and enjoy this FREE, fun event with friends and family!  Please call the library for the title of this G-rated Disney movie at 832-559-4200.
