The Library will be celebrating this event on Thursday, March 3rd at 1:30 pm during the Choo Choo Club Early Literacy Program in the Children’s Area.  Space is limited to 15 children (and their parents), so, please call for availability at 832-559-4235.  Remember, “you’re never too old, too wacky or wild, to pick up a book and read to a child”!

Sylvia Correa McMillan is exhibiting in Room L-129

Sylvia Correa McMillan first discovered the joy of art at eight years old when her grandfather took her to the Art Park in Mexico City. Surrounded by beautiful works of art of all kinds, she knew her heart wanted to paint. To be able to reproduce the beauty of nature is a great passion, she says. We who know Sylvia, for many years, one of our Children’s Assistants and the teacher of Computadoras to our Spanish-speaking library customers, think she does everything with passion and beauty. Come and see her paintings in Room L-129 during the month of March.
