Thanksgiving Display at Tomball Community Library: Help us to Give in the Season of Giving

Tomball Community Library invites you to come to view and participate in our Thanksgiving display. Pick up some inspirational books about giving to others and helping our community. We have three programs related to the display which encourage you give back:
We are asking for members of our community to donate supplies to Abandoned Animal Rescue, a local volunteer-run, no-kill animal shelter. Come and see the wish list of supplies at the library and give what you can!

Art Explorers and Tlingit Art!

  In honor of National Native American Heritage Month, we will be learning about the Tlingit culture and creating artwork using the paper piecing method at Art Explorers!  This program will meet on Tuesday, November 8th at 4:30 pm in the Children's Area!  Please call to register at 832-559-4235 as this program is limited to 20 children (ages 8 - 12)   

Be the Peace Be the Hope

If you are between the ages of 10 and 18 you are invited to be part of an art program that connects Houston teens with displaced children residing in refugee camps around the world.
On Monday, November 7th, at 1:00 p.m., come decorate a canvas square with a hopeful message. Your canvas art will be sewn into a tent, and with other tents, will be sent to a children’s refugee camp in an effort to spread hope and encouragement.

Creepy Cupcakes in the Children's Area!

      No tricks, just treats this Wednesday, October 26th at 4:30 pm in the Children's Area!  Decorate a spooky, fun or creepy cupcake for Halloween!  This program is limited to 20 children (ages 7 -12).  Call 832-559-4235 to register for this yummy program!

SCORE Workshop: Best Practices for Interviewing & Onboarding Employees

A successful business is run by good employees. On the other hand, poor hires cost businesses thousands of dollars. SCORE’s LaShan Ellison helps small and mid-sized businesses tweak their hiring processes to attract, onboard, and retain quality employees. Increase the odds of hiring the right person for the right job by participating in this free workshop this Saturday morning, October 22nd. Registration is at 10:00 a.m. and the program runs from 10:30 to 12:30. Room E-100 just off the Commons area.
