New Books @ Your Library

Thank you for the recent flattering comments on the new book display area. It’s gratifying for us to know we’re providing useful displays.

We will continue to separate our new books but the way we display them is changing. In addition to the “pyramid” display, new books will be displayed on the end of the fiction shelving as well. This is part of an ongoing project that includes adding more computers and a separate reader’s advisory section on the back of the fiction shelves. Thank you for your patience as we complete this project.

Watercolors: Rosemary Massey & Reva A. Power

We are pleased to exhibit the vivid watercolors of Rosemary Massey (on left in photo) and Reva A. Power (on right) during the month of November. Both Massey and Power are local artists and members of theTomball Art League, the Woodlands Art League, and the Watercolor Artists Society of Houston.

Rosemary Massey, a retired art teacher and Houston native, works in both watercolors and acrylic and enjoys painting a variety of subjects from still lifes to fantasy landscapes.

Reva Power, a retired mathematics and computer science teacher, likes the variety of styles that water media allow. You will see that variety in her landscapes and still lifes, hanging in the large meeting room, Room L129.
