On Saturday, September 25th the College and Library will be hosting children’s activities to celebrate World Peace! The fun begins at 10:30 am with a special story time in the Children’s Area. At 11:00 we’ll have crafts, games and face painting! At noon, children of all ages are invited to join in the Peace Parade with “Dolly the Dove”.

Come to the library and enjoy this FREE event all morning long!

We're Expecting New Neighbors!

You may have wondered about the construction beside our front door. Lone Star College Tomball is building a new Performing and Fine Arts Building; a 30,000 square foot, two-level, multi-purpose instructional facility for training in theater and theatrical production. It will include a 425 seat theater and stage.

The Performing and Fine Arts Building is but one of three buildings LSC Tomball is building this year. The second is a new Veterinary Technology building going up on the far west side of campus. The third is a new Health Sciences Building for training nurses, adjacent to Tomball Hospital along Business Route 249.

Books on the Bayou: Persepolis

PersepolisBooks on the Bayou, an annual community-wide event, will be discussing the graphic novel Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi. Please join us for a screening of the film (rated PG-13), followed by a discussion of both the film and the graphic novel. Meet in the first floor Meeting Room (L129) on Wednesday, September 22 at 6:30 pm.

On Tuesday, Sept. 21st at 4:30 pm the Children’s Dept. will kick off the Kidtastic Book Club with The Lemonade War!  Children (grades 3rd – 5th) will enjoy crafts, puzzles, discussion, games and snacks! The Club meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month and is limited to 15 children.
Required registration is available 1 month in advance. Stop by the Children’s Reference Desk or call 832-559-4235.
