Celebrating the Ancient Art of Origami

origamiAdults and children explored the ancient art of origami, in celebration of Asian Pacific Heritage month at West University Library.  Shapes created included traditional ones such as cranes and rabbits, but also more modern ones, such as Yoda from Star Wars.

Summer Reading is Coming !

  Mark your calendars.  The Summer Reading Program starts Monday June 4.  Our first program will be  Snakes in the Library on June 6 at 3 PM  , with snake handler Thomas Davis.  This program will be in the auditorium at the Senior Center next door.  We have a terrific schedule of programs planned - a magician, clown, crafts, ferrets and more.  There will also be 3 programs for Teens Only.  The summer events are listed on our website. Printed calendars will be available toward the end of May.

Spring Booksale at WU

Check out the book bargains at the Friends of the West University Library used Book sale on Saturday, May 12 from 10 AM to 2 PM. The sale will be held on the covered walkway surrounding West University Library at 6108 Auden Street. All proceeds benefit the programs and collections of the library.
