Short GirlsTitle to be discussed: Short Girls, by Bich Minh Nguyen.  Date of meeting: Wednesday May 5, 11:00 AM at the Buffalo Grille, on 3116 Bissonnet.  Summary: Van and Linny Luong enact the stereotypical roles of studious, straight-A sister and pretty, popular slacker. The daughters of Vietnamese refugees living in Michigan, the women drift apart as Van pursues a law career and marries a picture-perfect Chinese American classmate.

Animal Rescue Program at West University-Wednesday April 14, at 3:15pm

Dogs and cats are not the only animals in need of being adopted! Children and adults will be able to learn firsthand about various local animal rescues. Representatives from the Friends of BARC and Forever Homes Wanted Ferret Rescue will show animals and talk about how they rescue and find forever homes for animals.
Bring your questions and meet some wonderful pet ambassadors.

This program is for ages 4 years and older.  The program will take place in the library courtyard, on Wednesday April 14, at 3:15pm.

West University Lap Sit Storytime

Please join our lap sit storytime every Wednesday at 10:30am!  It is recommended for babies 3-24 months, and features bouncing, clapping, singing, and nursery rhymes.  This Wednesday the theme will be about colors.
