Summer Reading Program for Babies

   Starting June 3, babies will have their own Summer Reading Program.  Ask for a registration form.  When you fill it out, you will receive a brochure listing numerous activities to share with your baby.  Some activities are reading to your baby, singing songs or nursery rhymes, blowing bubbles and more.  To complete the program, you just need to perform 10 of the activities to receive a free board book, a duck-shaped game piece [with your child's name] to post on the window upstairs , a certificate and to be entered into a drawing for a baby hat.  The program will run all summer, June 3 through August 10.

WU Book Group on Summer Hiatus

Leavin' A TestimonyThe West University Book Group will be taking a break during the summer months.  We will meet again in September, to discuss Leavin' A Testimony, by Patsy Cravens.  The author will be present to talk about her work.  Patsy Cravens is a photographer, artist, writer, and video producer in Houston.

Great Day for a Book sale

Spring booksaleWe had beautiful spring weather for our book sale today, at West University.  We competed with a baseball game across the street and a benefit walk in the neighborhood, but we had plenty of customers stop by to browse through our selection of books.
