Chess Club moves to Tuesdays, in the Community Building next to the library, from 4:00-5:00 pm.
Due to the overwhelming response from the community at our first Chess Club meeting, we are moving to a bigger space in the Community Building.
Each meeting will start with some instruction from an expert competitive chess player. No prior experience is necessary. Please bring along your own chess board, if you have one at home. For ages 5 and older.

Wednesday, February 3, at 11 a.m.
Fleeing war-torn Uganda for the American Midwest, Isaac begins a passionate affair with the social worker assigned to him. But the couple’s bond is inescapably darkened by the secrets of Isaac’s past: the country and the conflict he left behind and the beloved friend who changed the course of his life—and sacrificed everything to ensure his freedom. From acclaimed author Dinaw Mengestu, here is a love story for our time.
