West University Lap Sit Storytime

Please join our lap sit storytime every Wednesday at 10:30am!  It is recommended for babies 3-24 months, and features bouncing, clapping, singing, and nursery rhymes.  This Wednesday the theme will be about colors.

Ongoing Booksale

We always have a couple of book carts filled with a large variety of books for sale.  These books are generously donated by members of our community, and the proceeds of the sales go towards benefitting our library.  Stop by and check out the selections!  Our next large booksale will be on Saturday, May 1.

Primary Election - March 2, 2010

The Primary Election will be held on March 2, 2010.  Voters will cast ballots for all 32 U.S. representatives, governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, comptroller, land commissioner, agriculture commissioner, railroad commissioner, three members of the Supreme Court, three members of the Court of Criminal Appeals, 16 state senators, all 150 state representatives, eight members of the State Board of Education, some Court of Appeals justices, district judges, family district judges, county judges, statutory county court judges and many county-level races.  Check out an article about the election at www.chron.com/news/politics/.  You can also stop by the library and pick up a free League of Women Voters Guide!
