Come to the Library Wednesday July 2 at 3 PM to learn how to polish rocks. Dr. Neal Immega will bring a selection of rocks for children to select and polish. Learn about the different types of rocks and minerals. While waiting to polish their rock, children can create a dinosaur "fossil" to take home. All supplies provided.
If you're a Tween or Teen who likes ice cream, you'll want to join others in making ice cream at a Library program Tuesday June 24 at 3:15 PM. We will make individual servings of ice cream. This program is for tweens and teens - ages 10 - 15 years only. The program is free and supplies are provided. The program will be at the Senior Center next door to the Library.
The ferrets will be here Wednesday June 25 at 3 PM. Be prepared to meet some cute animals, cheer for them as they race each other, learn how to care for them. Our program will be in the Senior Center auditorium next to the Library.
Children will explore animals of the air and ocean at a craft program Wednesday June 18 at 3 PM. We will create tissue paper butterflies and an "ocean" specimen by filling a bottle with a pretend jellyfish. These crafts will appeal to children ages 4 - 12 years.
51 children turned out to make and decorate bird feeders from recycled plastic juice bottles. The results were unique and colorful. Juice bottles were generously donated by people in the West University community during the spring.
