Singing Poet coming to Baldwin Boettcher Library

Come join us at the Baldwin Boettcher Branch Library on Friday, April 9th at 4:30 pm to listen to the Singing Poet.  This is adventure is to introduce children to poetry.  Come enjoy the entertainment.

Murder in Texas; Book Club that is!

The Mystery Book Club has decided to explore the many Texas Mystery Writers.  Great Texas authors include Rick Riordan, Bill Crider and Kinky Friedman.  See if you are able to discover more and present them at the April Book Club Meeting on April 21 at 2 pm.  Come enjoy the lively discussion while enjoying a taste of Texas food.  We welcome new comers and how to see you there.

National Poetry Month

  The April calendar is due out in a couple days.  Make sure you watch for our Poetry programming that will be presented during National Poetry Month.  We will be having a special guest for the younger crowd and Ms Cindy is developing a wonderful program for adults.  We are looking forward to seeing you in the month of April.  I will keep you posted with all the exciting things happening at the Baldwin Boettcher Library for this time.

Teen Spring Craft

Would you like to learn how to make a stained glass masterpiece? Come to Baldwin Boettcher Library on March 27, 2010 at 3:00 pm. Using saran wrap, aluminum foil and sharpies you will create on-of-a-kind stained glass “masterpiece”. This is a ticketed event for ages 12 to 17 only. Free tickets to this craft will be handed out 30 minutes prior to the program.
