Seasonal Joys

ornamentsWe hear a lot these days about stress during the holidays, and it's true there can be enormous pressures and expectations during this time. But there are also wonderful moments to warm our hearts, such as walking past this tree decorated with ornaments made by the children attending our story times. Just seeing the creative energy and love the children have put into this craft activity gives me a surge of endorphins every time I walk by the tree. On your next trip to Baldwin Boettcher, we invite you to take a long moment to look at these creations by our community's little ones and see if you don't find yourself smiling.

Thank you for your Patronage.

At this time the Baldwin Boettcher Staff would like to thank you for using our library services.  If you do not use the library, please come in and get a calendar of events or go on-line to check all the events that are happening at our branch.  The year has flown by and we have entertained, hopefully dazzled and given new hope to the low economy.  This next year, 2010, promises to hold even more potential for those in need of free services, programs and just some place to come hang your hat.  Remember to take advantage of our hold system.  If our library does not have it in stock, please feel free to request it from another branch.  Need something for your child or teen to participate in; feel free to come attend one of our programs.  Keep you eye out for the increase in Saturday programming for the upcoming year.

Holiday Cheer!

Frosty the SnowmanDid the snow last week put you in a jolly mood and start you thinking of the North Pole? We won't promise a winter wonderland, but if you stop by the Baldwin Boettcher Branch this Saturday, December 12, between 1:00 and 3:00 PM, we're sure you'll get a hearty taste of holiday cheer at our annual open house. On hand will be festive live music by Kevin Groover and Ivan Collins, and lots of delicious treats and goodies. We'll have a seasonal craft suitable for all ages, so bring your creative spirit. We look forward to seeing you!
