History Lovers' Book Club

woman reading

We’ve read a lot of history this past year!  At our final meeting of 2015, we’ll talk about our favorites, not so favorites, and -- most important -- what we want to read in 2016!  Join us Friday, December 11, 2 pm, for a lively discussion and light refreshments.

Here are some of the books we read this year:

Butterflies at Baldwin Boettcher

In observance of Citizenship Month, this November all of Harris County Public Libraries along with the City of Houston are honoring our community of people working towards their citizenship.  We have a pavilion with caterpillars that are now in the chrysalis stage.  Soon they will be full blown butterflies to set free.  Come by to take a look and while you are here you can make an origami butterfly yourself to be put on display.  We look forward to seeing you soon!

In Appreciation of Our Veterans

For Love of Country

Let's thank our veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice at this event for all ages. Included while supplies last: a flag craft and patriotic cupcakes!  Join us this Saturday, November 14, from 1 - 3 pm.
