Spring Is In the Air

Yes Spring is finally here. Visit the Baldwin Boettcher Library and fill our "communitree" with a butterfly to celebrate the season.  Just come by the circulation desk at the front of the library and make a donation.  A butterfly with your name and/or words of choice will be placed upon the tree for all to see. Just like our wonderful patrons, donations are always welcome no matter what the season.  So we look forward to seeing you soon.  Don't forget to stop by the front desk and see our "communitree".

Luck o' the Irish

Pot of Gold

Time to wear some green!

Come enjoy Celtic music, Irish snacks, and a fun craft as we celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day.  Everyone is invited to this program at Baldwin Boettcher on Saturday, March 15, beginning at 1:00 pm and lasting until 3:00 pm.  Feel free to drop in at a time convenient for you.

Kevin Groover and Ivan Collins will play traditional Irish music while adults and children of all ages create Luck Bursts!  You can always use a little more of that, can’t you?  And we’ll have some delicious green refreshments on hand to munch on as you work.

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day from the Baldwin Boettcher Staff!

We Received a Grant

Starting March 8th at 2 pm, the Baldwin Boettcher Library will be presenting the DIA Family Book Club.

This program will consist of 6 story times presented twice monthly.   DIA stands for Diversity in Action.
This program will help the children with reading comprehension, understanding that different is not bad and educate the parents on how to help their children read for better understanding.
The Grant has been sponsored by ALA (American Library Association) and the Dollar General Stores.  We have two of the Dollar General Stores in our area.
The $2000 grant will be spent mostly (over $1900) on books to add to our collection and yours.  Please attend the March 8th program at 2 pm to learn how you and your family may benefit from this opportunity.

Fishy Stuff

There is something fishy going on at Baldwin Boettcher.  It's our newest members of the Library.  We would like you to welcome Beetlejuice, Gizmo, and Bubbles.  Our new pet fish.  They were named by our wonderful patrons who gave their votes and awesome ideas on a name for each one.

They are swimming right by the front circulation desk.  So next time you come in, stop by take a look and say "hello".  Beetlejuice, Gizmo, Bubbles, and all the Baldwin Boettcher staff look forward to see you soon.
