Now More Places To See Your Faces

Every Thursday from 4 pm to 6 pm in June and July you can catch some of the Baldwin Boettcher Branch Library team at your local Chick-fil-a off of I-45 North and Louetta Rd. We'll bring out a selection of books that you can check out at the restaurant, register for library cards, sign up for the Summer Reading Program as well as pick up your prizes when you complete your activities, and we'll have a craft for the kiddos. Come out and visit us! We look forward to seeing you! We'd like to give a BIG THANKS to the folks at Chick-fil-a for letting us crash their restaurant each week.

Great Apps For Kids

In addition to our participation with Mensa's "Excellence In Reading" program, we are featuring games for kids that can be accessed through Mensa's website.

American Mensa Academy features intuitive games that teach patterns, review basic math questions, states and countries, English and grammar skills. The game series keeps a score and allows the player to keep track of their progress.

After testing the games, our favorite was Word Invasion:

which teaches parts of speech: nouns, pronouns, adjectives, etc.
