Workforce Solutions Job Search Seminars

Workforce Solutions will continue with their Job Search Seminars in the Barbara Bush Branch Library in February 2013. Let them help you improve your job search skills such as, interviewing tips, how to write resumes and cover letters, and how to best highlight your skills. No registration is required. Just drop in. Call 281-376-4610 if you have questions. The seminars will be held on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month from 1:30-3:30 PM.

Senior Classic Movie --- Friday, February 15 @10:00 am

This month we will be showing a film from 1933 starring Dick Powell and Ruby Keeler who are two young hopefuls struggling to make it on Broadway.

Powell's rich family try to break them up and then his brother falls for Keeler's  roommate, Joan Blondell.  Also stars Ginger Rogers with dance director, Busby Berkeley.

Senior Classic Movie is held on the 3rd Friday of the month in the Earl Elliott Meeting Room.

Spanish Class on Thursday

Starting February 7, Spanish class will resume on Thursdays from 2:00 to 4:00. It will be held in the second floor conference room and is open to adults. No need to register, just drop in and meet Oscar, our volunteer tutor.
 

Senior 60+ Computer Help

Drop in to the Senior Help Session at the Barbara Bush Branch Library Friends Computer Lab on the first and third Tuesday of each month.  There will be no class on February 5th.  Please come on the 19th.  From 10:00 am to 12:00 pm our volunteer, Patsy, will be here to give you some assistance.  No registration required. Meet other seniors and share your computer experiences.
