Classic Movie Morning

On Friday, December 2, Classic Movie Morning will show a film from 1944 starring Judy Garland, Margaret O'Brien, and Mary Astor.  "A family is crushed to learn that father has accepted a transfer to New York City.  Leaving  their friends is bad enough, but to miss the 1903 St. Louis World's Fair?  Tragedy!"  The movie is scheduled to start at 10:00 am in the Earl Elliot Meeting Room on the first floor.

The Workforce Job Search Seminar Series will continue in November.  On November 17th at 1:30 the topic will be "Creating a  Resume," select the best resume format for you and develop an objective or summary statement for your  resume. Come and learn how to highlight your skills to interest an employer.

Patriotic Movie in Honor of Veteran's Day - Friday, November 11

In honor of Veteran's Day, Friday, November 11, the Barbara Bush Branch Library will show a patriotic movie for Senior Classic Movie Morning. The movie from 1943 stars Claudette Colbert and Paulette Goddard. It is the true story of Army nurses who are assigned to Hawaii in 1941. After the attack on Pearl Harbor, they are then sent to Bataan in the Philippines.

The movie will be shown in the Earl Elliott Room at 10:00 am. Come and enjoy the movie and some treats, and help us honor the Vets.
